Modular lighting invited us to their headquarters in Belgium to understand more in-depth how lighting is designed and all the factors we need to have in mind before adding lighting to a space.
It was very insightful, and I truly appreciate the time we spent in the showroom and at the factory with such amazing, fun, and knowledgeable people.
Modular lighting has built the reputation of being innovators and pioneers in the architectural lighting world. They create beautifully crafted products that are integrated with the latest lighting technologies.
We spent our evening in the beautiful old medieval town of Bruges, which I was longing to visit for quite some time now. We walked past the canals, the bridges, and their gothic churches. Every little corner of the cobbled streets of Bruges is picture-perfect and I am glad I had the chance to see it with such an amazing group of colleagues!
For dinner, we went to Amuni Slow Food Pizza a great Italian restaurant. It was a warm summer night, so we had a buffet in the inner courtyard. Every dish they served was delicious. It kept Italian standards so high, I felt I was in Italy.
After the restaurant, we went to Café Rose Red for some drinks 🍹
There were hanging roses all over the ceiling. 🌹
We stayed in Hotel Augustyn, in Bruges.
The next day, we visited some projects in Knokke, a fine resort by the sea.
One of the projects we visited, was the Aqualex Concept store.
Aqualex develops drinking water systems and multifunctional design taps for filtered cooled, sparkling and hot water.
The lighting of the store was by Modular by adding that 3-dimensional touch with light reflections and lighting guidance through the space.
On our way back we spent some time in Lille, France before boarding the train to London. Central Europe is so close with so many beautiful places to visit which are all very close to each other and yet so unique.
Until next time ❤️
