Day trip to Brighton

Day trip to Brighton by The Athenian Girl

Day trip to Brighton.

Ever have the feeling that time flies so fast? I did when I recently visited Brighton.

I can’t even remember how and when it was my last time I was in Brighton, but it was many years ago. Then, I was visiting friends from the University of Sussex. I had visited so many times that I almost knew everyone. I remember the University Campus, the city of Brighton, the double-deck buses that every time we were hoping in, we weren’t missing the chance to sit on the front of the top floor, the parties that were lasting until the next morning, the long walks around the campus, the games and the laughs… those were the days… (and no, it wasn’t for some boyfriend).

And I always remember Brighton, sunny.

And on my recent visit, Brighton was very sunny and warm.

We strolled around the alleys at the Lanes, we had a walk at the Royal Pavilion and the gardens, we visited the Palace Pier and the seaside.

Street musicians were singing and playing mostly rock music in almost every corner of the city. We discovered beautiful boutique shops and cute coffee shops in the Lanes.

And somehow Brighton is always sunny.

Until next time ♥
