WICKED West End Musical

WICKED West End Musical

WICKED West End Musical.

West End shows is one of the reasons many tourists visit London. The performances are outstanding and the production is of top-quality

West End is a term that defines the main commercial and entertainment centre in London. It is located west and north of River Thames in central London. Theatreland is London’s theatre district which contains more or less 40 venues

My first West End musical was The Book of Mormon and it was truly amazing!

Since we had a great time, we decided to check other West End musicals as well.

WICKED the musical

WICKED the musical, (originally a Broadway Show) opened in the Apollo Theatre in London in 2006 and it’s a huge success, making it one of the best West End shows. Technically, Apollo Theatre is a bit outside from the proper Theatreland area, but it is still considered “West End”.

It is described as a musical phenomenon that tells the incredible untold story of the Witches of Oz.

And this is the reason we booked tickets. It seemed wonderful.

I loved the spectacular stage design, the costumes, and in general, the production was first-class.

But I didn’t like the songs (although the voices were incredible) as I found them a bit lame and poor.

I certainly wouldn’t place it amongst my favourite shows. Usually, at the end of a musical that I like I am stuck with at least one of the songs.

In this case, it was none.

Have you seen it?

What do you think?

Until next time! ♥
