It’s Richmond time.
What do you do on a Saturday morning when you want to escape from the city but not go too far away?
One of the options is to visit Richmond.
Richmond is a beautiful suburban town, south-west of London with many places of interest such as Richmond Park, (the largest of London’s Royal Parks, and of national and international importance for wildlife conservation), Richmond Hill, the Riverside etc.
I have visited Richmond several times in the past, one of which, we had a picnic at the park, (and watching the deers on the move), but none of these times the weather was sunny.
The last time we visited, it was very warm, around 28 degrees.
So our first stop was a place I had saved on my list, called Hollyhock cafe. Located at the top of the Terrace Gardens overlooking the river between trees and gardens, this hidden place, feels like an oasis. We sat for a coffee and a dessert before we headed to Richmond Hill, which is my favourite place. The scenic panorama through the river is breathtaking and the pathway is beautiful! The Richmond Gate entrance to the park was very close, but we decided to visit it some other time for a picnic.
Our last stop was at Riverside Bridge for a snack. The weather treated us really nice leaving us some warm memories behind!
I think the pictures speak for themselves.
Until next time ♥
